Our site at PS/IS 237 (PB70), located at 50 Avenue P, Brooklyn NY 11204 is the first of our A.B.L.E. programs (Academy for Building Learning Experiences).
We have seven classes here, two 12:1:1, one 8:1:1, and four 6:1:1 for students in grades Kindergarten through eighth grade.
Our school works on natural environment training – connecting everything the students learn to their world and life skills. Our 6:1:1 classes utilize the Unique N2Y curriculum for ELA, Math, Science and Social Studies. We also infuse the Equals Math program in to our math instruction. All students at this site are assessed with this curriculum and we build their individual goals around what they need to move forward into the world of mathematical independence to the best of their individual abilities.
Our 12:1:1 & 8:1:1 classes utilize the Readtopia curriculum for ELA, Math, Science and Social Studies.
